Colorado Springs, CO Caulking Replacement
- Demolition and installation associated with the Exterior Caulking Replacement Project.
- Covering 15 seams, on all four sides of all four towers up to the base of the ATCT cab. Above the precast concrete towers, apply new caulking within the seams of the parapet wall, and on the parapet wall cap, and the catwalk side of the parapet wall.
- At the base of the tower, on the exterior side of the lobby windows, install new exterior caulking around both of the North and South windows at the ground-level lobby of the tower, adding self-tapping screws to secure sheet metal paneling above both windows using a stress distribution brace.
- Exterior seam caulking is confirmed to contain asbestos. All other exterior caulking, aside from the seam caulking, shall be treated as presumed asbestos-containing material (PACM). Asbestos-containing caulking is not to be impacted during construction activities.
